It is officially Autumn now and I’m beginning the season with my first fall post. I have been anticipating fall for quite some time and my excitement has been growing as I have begun watching other bloggers fall posts pour in.
I love fall so incredibly much. It is a magical time. Fall leaves are the only thing that ever falls from the sky besides parcipitation. During fall, the weather turns crisp as the cold winter winds pick up and mix with the leftover heat of summer, bringing cold mornings and bright, clear days. Fall creates the perfect weather for all the smells of fall: pumpkin spice, cinnamon, hot teas, and fall breads. This is part of the reason i find fall enchanting.
I just purchased my first pumpkins of the season and I have been so excited about them that I have been sending pictures of my pumpkins to all my friends. It is a little ridiculous. I also (finally) found a fall wreath for my front door which perfectly invites fall into my home.
In cased you like my fall decorations, here are some fall decorating items similar to those I used:
I am probably driving my husband crazy by continually asking him if he likes my fall decorations and then talking about them for the 100th time with him. I had to explain to him that when I am excited about something I have to keep talking about it, even though I already have.
Anyway, all this is to say that, (in case you have not figured it out) fall is my favorite season. I am probably a little too excited for fall, but after all it only comes once a year. Since all of my favorite activities occur in fall, I have compiled a list of things to do this fall.
Here is my list of 15 things to do this fall:
- Decorate your home for fall
- Go to a pumpkin patch, take pictures, and bring home a pumpkin
- Make a bonfire on a cold evening
- Drink plenty of hot tea
- Bring out your flannels and sweaters
- Take nature walks
- Burn autumn scented candles
- Try all the fall drinks at Starbucks
- Roast and eat pumpkin seeds
- Bake fall breads and treats
- Press fall leaves for crafts
- Start crocheting or knitting a prodject
- Wear old jeans
- Go to fall festivals
- Blog about fall
Even though fall has just begun, I have already crossed many of these things off of my list. Next week, the weather is supposed to turn cool again and then the fall will seem real. Also, I will be able to engage in more of these fall actives that I have listed.
What fall things have you already crossed off your list?
Great blogs to read and follow:
I have started including this section at the end of my posts because I think it is important for bloggers to remember that reading other blogs is just as important as writing and promoting your own blog. Whenever you read another blog you learn either through the actual content or the observations you make while browsing the sight. Maybe you notice that their writing style or photography is excellent and that it aids to your experience on their blog. This may make you aware that you need to improve your own writing or photography. Or perhaps you see an annoying habit in place on a blog you are reading and you ensure you do not make a similar mistake on your own blog. Whatever it is that you find, it is valuable. That said, here are some blogs I suggest reading:
Busy Bee is lifestyle blogger who offers taste recipes, blogging tips, and more. Busy Bee always maintains a beautifull sight with easy navigation and clear photography that makes you want to come back to this blog. Furthermore, each blog post is broken up by pictures and clear headings, making the posts easy and enjoyable to read. There is much to be learned by this blogger.
My Inner Vegan blogs mainly about her vegan lifestyle. Her blog stands out to me because she tears down common misconceptions about vegans. For example, one of her posts includes her shopping list for one week of food and proves that eating fresh foods does not have to be extremely expensive. Furthermore, she has recipes on her sight such as muffins, pies, and snacks, that are not the boring recipes some might expect of a vegan’s diet. If you are vegan, exploring being vegan, or simply interested in reading more, this blog is for you.
Charlotte Somewhere writes book reviews, so if you love reading you will love what Charlotte Somewhere has to offer. Charlotte Somewhere has a beautiful blog that pops. It also feels very inviting when you first click on the home page because it is currently themed for fall. Each post has a unique picture that corresponds to the post. Each post is always broken up by numbering, and bold colors.
I will continue promoting blogs I like to help out my fellow bloggers. To be eligible for consideration you must:
- be a fellow lifestyle blogger
- and be a follower/subscriber
